We’re looking for an experienced, sharp and proactive Project Controller to join our dynamic projects team. In this role, you’ll be the financial and operational compass guiding a range of exciting projects from inception to delivery.

Working closely with project managers, and delivery teams you’ll dive deep into the numbers, timelines, and risks, analysing performance data to spot trends, flag issues, and drive solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be comfortable keeping an eye on the numbers as much as the timeline. If you thrive on turning complexity into clarity and are a natural “go to person” for keeping projects on track, on budget, and on point, this role is your opportunity to make a real impact in a growing company.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the financial control of projects, managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring accurate forecasting to keep projects within required financial parameters.

Develop and manage detailed project schedules using industry standard tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), capturing all key activities, interdependencies, and milestones to support successful project delivery.

Monitor and analyse project performance data, including earned value and schedule variance, and deliver clear, actionable reports to project teams and senior management on a weekly and monthly basis.

Proactively identify and manage risks and issues, acting as an early warning system and working with project teams to implement effective mitigation, recovery, or acceleration plans.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders across engineering, procurement, site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure alignment on schedules, milestones, and project priorities.

Oversee schedule integrity, identifying potential delays or conflicts early and leading resolution efforts to keep project timelines on track.

Support resource planning and lead process improvements, contributing to Project Management Plans, tender inputs, and promoting best practices in scheduling and project controls.

Interpret and manage contractual obligations, ensuring compliance around delays, notices, and extension of time claims, while maintaining clear and regular communication with all project stakeholders.

What you will bring to this role?

A bachelor’s degree in project management, engineering, construction management, or a related field

3–5 years of hands-on experience in project controls, ideally within the renewable energy or construction sectors. You’ve been in the thick of it and understand how projects run from the ground up.

Proficiency in scheduling software such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools.

Demonstrated experience of financial tracking and workflow management tools

A solid understanding of project scheduling methods, including critical path (CPM) and earned value management (EVM).

Certification in Scheduling or Project Controls desirable but not essential.
